 Aisha Khan and The RajahsWebsite We are delighted that 'El Toro' recording artist Aisha Khan and her Rajahs will be playing for us at our April Country Soul “Special". With influences ranging from Jazz, Blues, Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Doo Wop and Rock 'N' Roll it's fair to say that Ms Khan can sing pretty much anything she has a mind to. Backed by a crack band of top musicians aka the Rajahs, Aisha is in equal parts sultry Jazz chanteuse and Rhythm and Blues 'belter'. Expect to hear fine original material mixed with memorable covers all wrapt up in a bygone era of glamour and sophistication. Don't miss Aisha and her great band. |
 Corina and The CortinasWebsite We are thrilled too say that Corina and The Cortinas will also be making their debut at the January Country Soul. Playing an eclectic mix of Swing, Jazz & Jump-Blues encompassing such diverse and classic artists such as Duke Ellington, Peggy Lee & Dinah Washington this band produce jazz and jump-blues fuelled toe-tappers. Fronted by Corina Kwami on vocals the band is 'top muso' through and through featuring Dave Piggott (guitar), Alan Elliott (sax), Pete Feldon (bass) and Martin Grubb (drums). Hot on the swing-dance scene with a 'Play For The People' attitude Corina and The Cortinas will get you movin' and a groovin'. |
