About The Artists
Sarah Vista

We are extremely pleased to welcome back the outlaw songstress Sarah Vista to the Country Soul Sessions. Sarah Vista and her great band come fully loaded with tall tales of revenge, retribution and a unique Rock N' Roll vision. Last year they released their debut long player 'Killing Fever' (Gallow Romantic Records) to great acclaim showing a band on the dark edge of the country genre strutting through a Morricone-esque Spaghetti Western landscape that even the most righteous western aficionado would approve. Not only is there grapevine talk of an imminent new 45 release but it is also been confirmed that Sarah Vista has been nominated for an Ameripolitan Award in the Honky Tonk Female category. Watch this space and come and watch this band!

Bob Collum and the Welfare Mothers

We are delighted that Bob Collum and the Welfare Mothers will be joining us for the December Country Soul. Way back when Bob Collum traded his hometown Tulsa, Oklahoma for the marshy plains of the Thames Estuary bringing with him a suitcase full of country tinged power-pop tunes with lyrical storytelling at their heart. Highly regarded by those in the know Bob Collum and his great band have only ever been going upwards in terms of recognition "He and his band are artists for whom consistent excellence is not an exaggeration, with their tremendous playing.....and his highly literate songs" (American Roots Music). Their latest long player 'Pay Pack and Carry' (Harbour Song Records) was released last year to very fine reviews. Come and see Bob, Paul, Allan, Mags and Matt do they're stylish alt-country rock n' roll thang.

Drew Morrison and the Darkwood

The house band return to the Country Soul to tread our boards once again. With influences ranging from Alt Country, Pop & Rock N' Roll all tinged with 'golden chording’ the band has remained focussed and their music has realised itself into a unique sound. Check out their debut long player ‘Electric-Notes Wild’ on Storm Cloud agency Records. Onwards and upwards towards the fiery musical heavens!
