About The Artists
Sister Suzie

Website

We are delighted that Sister Suzie will be returning to the Country Soul. Sister Suzie hails from the northernmost tip of Northumberland and it was her love of singing R&B that took her to the musical melting pot that is New Orleans. On returning to the UK she moved to Hastings where she now resides. "A little lady with a big voice" Sister Suzie sings to the infectious concocted rhythm & blues backbeat supplied by her fantastic band feat: Matt Jackson (guitar), Al Nicholls (Tenor Sax), Darren 'Eddie' Edwards (Bass) and Mr Brian Nevill (Drums). In 2018 the band released their debut LP ‘Ain’t No Lady’ (The Last Music Company Records) to rave reviews. For this Session Sister Suzie and her great band will be performing two live sets with a break in between.

The Devout Sceptics

It's great to welcome back our good pals The Devout Sceptics to the Country Soul. The Sceptics are devotees of vintage Americana and the influence of Country, Blues, Jazz and Rockabilly can be all heard in their music. With more than talk of a follow up LP to their very fine 'Vida!' in the air and a monthly London residency in their beloved local we find the band with musical spirits high. It is always a marvellous occasion when The Devout Sceptics come to play the 'Sessions' and this evening will be no exception to that rule.

Adrian Stranik

Website

We are so pleased that Broadway Twisters frontman Adrian Stranik will be joining us for the April Country Soul. For this Session Mr Stranik will be rockin' and rollin' us in solo acoustic mode playing a mixture of mostly fine originals and some quality covers thrown in for good measure.
